It is believed (perhaps by me only) that this issue is caused by the official Guncon2's dual functionality as both a standard and HD lightgun, if only for the fact that the generic guns that do not have this feature seem to have no problems. It should be known that official Guncon2's seem to have the worst tracking problems (the infamous "Rolling X") but only on TVs. The card is capable of doing both simultaneously, with no special wiring or adaptors.įor arcade use, see the IntruderAlert's tutorial, linked below.

I use an ATI Radeon 9200 (PCI), with the S-video outputting to my TV and the composite outputting to the Guncon2.

PC monitor use is mostly covered by the thread SirPoonga pasted below, but is discussed in this thread as well.įor TV use, all that is required is a Guncon2 lightgun, a video card with TV-Out, Smog's Driver, and a TV. This thread deals with using the PS2 Guncon2 on a PC with TV-Out capabilities or an arcade monitor. This way you won't have to read back through it again if you don't want to. If you feel defeated by the size of it, open up notepad and paste the parts you think useful in there and save it. I suppose there will be update of this driver and possibly an integration in the official mister when it's perfected. There is no substitute for reading the actual thread, but I will give the basic details here. I need to play more with calibration to see if this could be corrected, but in the case i got problem even increase in brightness doesn't change.

Genesis i get the worst result, the two lethal enforcer are unplayable with accuracy completely off, terminator have some problem too. NES and SMS well some games are fine, other have accuracy problem with some take off from the cursor. Snes is very good, but a few games need brightness to be increase. In my case accuracy is fine in most games i tried. I suppose it will vary depending of the setup. Anyway, i was surprise everything just worked, i am used to more complication I ended up soldering an adapter with the means at hand. I get the light gun today, i spend some times finding a way to connect it to my bvm 20f1e, as i haven't anything to plug the yellow rca to the bnc sync output. It's just another example of the superiority of Mister really. So when i saw gcon 2 driver is worked on, i bought one on ebay. I want to play some light game in my crt for a some time, but frankly getting 240p to work with software emulation is a real pain by itself. Strange no one create a topic around this.
